Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. was founded June 1, 1929 in Chicago Illinois by Lola Mercedes Parker. It is the first African American business womens sorority. Since its inception, Iota has contributed both globally and nationally to the pursuit of excellence in all worthy endeavors among youth and adults and developed leadership expertise among business and professional women.
